    Unless you are trying to use stp for redundancy I would recommend elrp. ELRP is very easy to configure and reliable. The only downside is that it lacks the dynamic enable when the loop condition is cleared. Best of luck,

    I think this does it configure stpd "s0" ports link-type edge 1:2

    i got this line;
    502.2 # configure stpd "s0" ports link-type edge 6,7

    What version of code are you running? If you type show stpd ?... what stp domains are listed?

    A very big disadvantage of using ELRP is that it blocks whole port instead of blocking specific vlan in which the loop was occured

    Thank you Nick for the reply, the situation is like this, the iptv contractor requires this command in every tv port.

    cisco command;
    interface FastEthernet0/10
    switchport protected
    no ip address
    spanning-tree portfast

    i am looking for the same commande in extreme.

    Is it now working as expected? Did you set auto-bind up for the VLAN's? IDK if EZ-spantree is default on 16.xxx switches, but it is now for 22.xx.xx code. You can install this as an XMOD to help your config.
