    Hi,

Sorry to bump this. But we need to decide what to use for L2 edge devices. there are 40 to 100 devices we need to buy or replace next year. So there will be no x430-G2. So what about future of X430? Should we invest on it or consider new 200 series? We need solid line-rate L2 switching with security features like dhcpsnooping arp inspection and something like ipv6 ra guard/ first hop security like in cisco switches.

    Regards,

    Rahman

Which OS does these 200 series run? EOS, XOS or a different one?

Yes, but why? I read the FAQ, there are explanations why 200 series exists. I agree that for cost effective L2 needs, x440-G2 costs way too much. But why not something like X430-G2 instead of a new OS?

Time to market and cost were primary factors. EXOS (or EOS for that matter) could not be quickly ported to the low-cost Broadcom chipset / hardware used in the 200 Series. Also, our partnership with Broadcom helped us quickly integrate their FASTPATH OS into the 200 series.
