    Hi,

    Just wanted to know, how many AP's in a cluster we can have in campus AP. Also can we mix and match the model if we are using as a virtual controller mode? For Example, I have 30 AP 310i and 4 AP 410i, can we create cluster of those AP's? If yes, then how many?

    Hi Prashant,
    In VC mode the limit is 64 APs. Since the VC mode supports heterogenous APs, you can set AP410i as a VC and manage your AP410i/310i with it but not the other way around. Here is a little VC Adoption matrix for your better understanding:

    If you happen to have a WiNG controller (not VC) in a single site/campus type environment, then the no. of APs on that site would be equal to the adoption capacity of the controller.
    If its a WiNG controller in distributed site environment, each site can have 256 APs. The limit of 256 is only valid for newer APs i.e. 11ax and certain high-tier 11ac wave-2 APs such as AP8533/8432. For the 11ac wave-1 and older APs the limit is 128 APs per remote site.
