    We need to activate traps and syslog in all our devices, but we don't know how. something like fan status, power status, etc...

    Within NetSight Console you should be able to right-click a switch and select the Syslog Configuration or Trap Configuration menu option. That configuration can then be pushed out the the switch and NetSight will start receiving the traps and syslog messages.

    Yes I konw, but in this case we can't see traps in netsight's traps tab.

    Is the SNMP user account added the snmptrapd file? You can select that in the tab to the right of where you push down the Trap settings. If it is already in there you can try adding the line: 'disableAuthorization yes' to the line and restarting the snmptrapd daemon. This should verify if it's just an issue of not processing the traps or if they're not being sent at all.

    Thanks a lot. This is the line what we need "'disableAuthorization yes'".
    Now we have to make new alarms with all this traps.

    Even this "disableAuthorization yes" is present in our Netsight console, but still i am not getting traps and syslogs. how to configure the same?

    I'm not seeing any screenshots. Perhaps they didn't get uploaded? Typically if the traps aren't showing up, it can be because the snmp information is not updated in the snmptrap daemon on NetSight as well. Make sure the snmp trap information is what matches the info in the snmptrapd file.
