  • 1.  Right MIB in NetSight for querying CISCO's vlans

    Posted 04-14-2016 10:28
    Hello, everybody!

    I have a task to get vlans from cisco switches using Netsight. Local Extreme's engineer told me, that it is possible using MIT tools&Flexview.

    Could you please explain me how to reach the goal?

    I post a picture just to show where I am at a deadlock(((

    Many thanks in advance,

    ILya

    Hello Ilya,\

    Try getnext on this table:

    dot1qVlan=1.3.6.1.2.1.17.7.1.4

    Regards,
    Mike

    Hi Ilya,

    Netsight has a FlexView for Cisco VLANs. If you open the FlexView Database, and navigate to VLAN, there's a CiscoVLAN.tpl FlexView.

    And while it returns mostly interface information, If you select Properties from the menu I showed in the first screenshot, you can edit it and add your own OIDs like Mike previously mentioned, OR, you could create an entirely new FlexView

    I hope is what you're asking to do.

    All the best!

    I've checked Kawawa's recommendation and it works perfectly well. Thank you very much!
