Hello, all!

Earlier was conversation - https://community.extremenetworks.com/extreme/topics/ap7522-2-4ghz-radio-antenna

But I have little different question:

ML-2499-MPA3 in Country column shown as N/A.
So main question - is this restriction is concern for software side?
Is using this antennas is blocked in WiNG software for EU regulatory domains?

Thank you!

Hello Alexandr,

I would assume that you are talking about the ML-2499-HPA3 antenna and not ML-2499-MPA3. Since the ports on the AP7522 AP are diplex, only diplex antennas are listed in the guide.

The ML-2499-HPA3 can be used with this AP, but since it's 2.4GHz only, the 5GHz radio will not talk over this antenna. In other words you will lose the 5GHz radio if this antenna is used.

May I ask why you would like to use this versus a diplex antenna?
Christoph S.

Thank you for information!

yes they can use the old existing ML-2499-HPA3-02R antennas with the new AP7522 APs, the connectors are compatible (RP-SMA).

There are no software restrictions.

The only downside is that they will lose the 5GHz radio since those are 2.4GHz only antennas that are going to be connected to a diplex port. Please make sure they are aware of this fact.

Hello!

Main question - about Country. Is there restriction in software side?

I'm interesting about this antenna, because Customer is making upgrade - from older APs.
There is a lot of antennas,
So they interesting can they reinsert antennas from old APs to new.

Thank you!
