Products
B5K125-24, B5K125-24P2, B5K125-48, B5K125-48P2

Changes
Inserted a 1g transceiver (MGBIC) into one of the two "10g" port slots per switch.

Symptoms
The 1-gigabit MGBIC will not function, though a 10-gigabit 10GBASE works fine in the same slot.

Cause
B5 hardware only supports 10g transceivers (10GBASE) within the two port slots labeled "10g".

Solution/Workaround
Functions as Designed (FAD).

These B5 switches also contain two combo (5489) "SFP" port slots for 1g MGBIC insertion.

Alternately, the C5-Series (C5K125-24, C5K125-24P2, C5K125-48, C5K125-48P2, C5K175-24) does support a dual 10g/1g SFP+ capability via two "SFP+" port slots per switch.
