We have total 27 X440-G2-24p switches but at our core, we are using Cisco 4500X switches in an active-active state using VSS based configuration.
1>Our complete network is totally based on Ethernet.
2> 16 switches in building A and 11 switches in building B
3> Building B all switches are connected with cascading.
4> X440-G2 have edge license

Now Customer want's all switches should have the redundant connection and better reliable topology.

Hi !

Use LACP from all X440-G2 to both chassis of the Cisco 4500-VSS cluster.
Best: change Cisco 4500 into a X690 mlag peer solution... (you will have no downtime during updates...)

I would guess you are using ten gig links to connect all your switches together?  Do all switches have a direct connection to one of Cisco's or do you have a couple of links connected to the Cisco's and all the rest of the 440's are on a common shared link on switch after another?  What does the connection between the two buildings look at from a logical standpoint.  What types of failures have caused your outages to where you are looking into more redundancy ??
