Can an AP6532 adopt an AP6522?

Can an AP6532 adopt an AP6522?

Have converted two 4532's to 6532's and one 4522 to a 6522. Is there any way to configure a 6532 running as a virtual controller so that it can also manage the 6522? I can see all three via mint, but can't seem to adopt the 22 from the 32. Have run these before with appliance based controllers and was wondering if there is some type of workaround for my small test environment with these three ap's? Thanks in advance!

Hi Eric,

I believe WiNG 5.8 and below has single AP model support only.

However I just happened to check this very thing with my local WiNG tech specialist this morning and his response is:

"Today as of 5.9.0 we support same family VC management for 7522/32/62. So AP7562 can manage any mix of 7522, 7532, 7562."

He also advised there may be further enhancements to VC functionality in future releases to enhance support for multiple AP models.

Hope that helps.

Thanks,
Darrel.

Sounds about right

WiNG 5.9.0 handles adoption across AP75xx family.
WiNG 5.9.1+ might bring more specific adoption model similar to OneView.

To clarify 5.9.x supports AP75xx adopting dif model APs ( within AP75xx family) with the exception of AP7502.

That is only true for the AP75xx only. it is NOT supported on any other model APs at this time.
