Hi Jitendra,
In my experience in the lab, it works fine over short distances.  I've only gone out to about 20 feet though.  As you know, it is certainly recommended to use SMF with LX/LR optics.

Hello Jitendra,

a few weeks ago I got (forwarded) the following response from the product management team

The 10052H is compliant with the 1000BASE-LX standard which can be used on MMF.
A mode conditioning patch cord is required for operation with OM1 or OM2 MMF and can support links up to 550m.
With OM3 or OM4 MMF, no mode conditioning patch cord is required.  The reference to 220m link distance applies to even older FDDI-Grade 62.5μ fiber.

Nope, I requested and got this via eMail from our Network Consultant at Extreme Networks

(Sorry in the previous post I used the Team Account and not this/my personal account)

P.S.: Hope they will add this also in the official product documentation, and also fix the distance range for the SX module :-)
