Error message
"GBIC indicated TX Fault." 

Examples of this repeating message are shown below, as extracted using a FlexView (5497):

   <3>System[1]GBIC 5 indicated TX Fault. 04.05.07 0 

This example indicates transmit failure of GBIC instance 5 on the slot 1 blade or installed 7G-6MGBIC(-A). The problem could be due to that GBIC, its peer port, or the cable connecting them. Troubleshoot to the defective component.
