dns entries in whitelist to allow downloads from the app store

I have a captive portal with radius username and password and configured a bypass to a series of pages in a whitelist. (in VX9000)



I want clients to be able to access google play store of android and app store of iOS although they are not logged in on the captive portal.



By adding the following entries to the whitelist I get clients to access the google play store and download apps ok.

android.clients.google.com

gght.com

gvt1.com

play.google.com

play.googleapis.com

www.googleapis.com



But I can not do the same with the app store. I have added the following dns entries:

apple.com

itunes.com

mzstatic.com

I manage to access the app store but I can not download apps.



Does anyone know what dns entries do I have to enable in the whitelist to allow downloads from the app store?

Hello Jose,
You can try the following:

Ports: 80 and 443 must be allowed via external firewalls

Apple servers:

phobos.apple.com
deimos3.apple.com
albert.apple.com
gs.apple.com
itunes.apple.com
ax.itunes.apple.com

Hi,

I tried the app download URL's mentioned by Jose for Android app download. But the download is not happening. When I click the app download button, it shows download in progress. But it is not happening.

Could someone assist on this.
