We have an Alarm Trap setup in Netsight to report ELRP events. This works pretty well.

It only reports though the VLAN and every switch that sees the Loop reports.

How can I modify it so that the relevant switch reports the port its disabled aswell?

The alarm is set to trap and email the alert to an email address.

Hi Ian,

This sounds like a feature request. I don't believe there is any way to modify the content of the SNMP Trap.

This could also be accomplished using a combination of UPM event detection and python or tcl scripting. The script would be triggered by the UPM event of the ELRP log message. Parse the port numbers from the log message and send to the trap receiver using the below command.

" create snmp trap severity severity event EventName msg"
