Hi

we have 3 enterasys switchs (A2H124-48P) and we have Avaya IP OFFICE 500 V2 as the PABX

i need to configure VOICE VLAN in entrasys  for avaya phones and pabx,please telle me how ,i don't know.

In your dhcp server, you'll need to set options 176 and 242 and give them the appropriate settings for each of these options.

for your data vlan DHCP scope, you'll need to put under option 176 and 242 L2Q=1,L2QVLAN=5  (vlan 5 is the voice vlan you create on switch 3)

This option will tell the Avaya phone that vlan 5 is the voice vlan and to look for a DHCP offer in that subnet.

Now, build a new dhcp scope for vlan 5 and hand out voice IP's.  You need to also have option 176 and 242 in this vlan as well with this string:

MCIPADD=10.10.10.10,MCPORT=1719,HTTPSRVR=10.10.10.11
Where 10.10.10.10 is your IPOffice server address that the phones register to.
10.10.10.11 is the server that holds the phone configurations.  This may also be your IPoffice pbx.

so, you want to egress all of your ports 5 tagged for your voice traffic.

i.e. 
set port vlan fe.1.2 2
set vlan egress 5 fe.1.2 tagged


2 being your data vlan, 5 being your voice.

P.S.  The 1608 phones require Option 176 which uses TFTP to get the config.

is it possible with static IP for the phones , (having Vlan for ip phones)

yes, of course it is.  My first answer was that it is necessary to have those dhcp options if you are dhcp'ing your phones.  if you are statically setting the phones, then there is no need for dhcp.

It is entirely possible to set the phones to static IPs and do what I think you need.   Manually set the phone's IP to the appropriate VOIP VLAN address.    On the data switch end, set the port to the desired data VLAN then TAG the VOIP VLAN to that port.  
Say the data VLAN number is 1234 and the VOIP vlan is 2345.
The phone is on port ge.1.23

Then "set port vlan ge.1.23 1234 modify"
followed by "set vlan egress 2345 ge.1.23 tag"

Use the "modify" parameter to clear out any old VLAN information out there on that port.

If link is UP on that port, you can issue
"show port egress ge.1.23" and you should see something like

Port                       VLAN Egress Type   VLAN Status
ge.1.23                 1234 untagged         static
ge.1.23                 2345 tagged             static

Note if link is not up, that command will return nothing and you would have to do "show vlan static 1234"  and "show vlan static 2345"  then look in the returned data to verify you got the correct assignments.
