Enterasys RBT-8400 enable password reset help

I have several of these units that have been sitting in our warehouse and they all seem to have an enable password setup on them that no one has any clue on what it could be. I have looked on line for a process to remove the enable password on these units with no luck. Does anyone know a process to reset the enable password back to the default one of having no password, or even doing a factory restore on these units would work as well.

SolutionFollow this procedure in the event of a lost or forgotten password.

IMPORTANT: This procedure will wipe out the active configuration. When the device comes back online, it will be at factory default. Best practice should be followed. Before a change is made to the configuration, perform the following two steps:
1) save configuration
2) save configuration <filename>

Reset the RBT by power cycling the system or resetting via the CLI command 'reset system'. Make sure you have a PC running a terminal application connected to the front Com port on the RBT

Watch the scrolling text across the screen during the boot sequence until you see the following:

Autoboot flag set, enter q followed by ENTER to abort...1Hit the q key followed by the enter key and this should bring you to a boot prompt.

***Please read important note above before proceeding.****

To clear the system back to factory defaults, type the following at the boot prompt:

boot> boot OPT+=default
