Fast failover and AP poll timeout

Hi Guys,

I got a little confused regarding the times when setting up fast failover and AP poll timeout.
from Wireless Lab Guide: fast failover 2 seconds and poll timeout to 3 or 4 seconds
from GTAC Knowledge: fast failover 10 seconds and poll timeout to 15 seconds

What are the recommended values?

Does it matter where the APs are located - in our case the controller is in Europe and the APs are in China??

Regards,
Stephan

I would go with the 10/15 rule if you don't have voice traffic. Are you configuring the solution for B@ap?

What do you go with if you do have voice traffic?

The manual suggest...To achieve ideal availability behavior, you must set the Poll Timeout value for all APs to 15 seconds,
and the Detect link failure on the IdentiFi Wireless Appliance > Availability screen to 10 seconds. You can cut that in half for voice.
