Hello Ronaldo, you can install Hyper-V or any other VM environment in your computer and allocate resources to run VX9000 appliance on it. You can see an example, for EXSi on the following guide:

http://documentation.extremenetworks.com/ExtremeWireless/VX9000_IG_MN001985A01A_EN.pdf

If you have any further question please let us know.

Hello Ronaldo,

You should be able to install VM software (and consequently the VX9000)  on your Windows 7 computer as long as you adhere to the manufacturer's  min recommended hardware requirements found in the installation guide of said software.

Thank you,

Chris

I have no trouble running VX9000 in VMware Workstation, so, yes, it can be done. I'm using Windows 10, but I'm sure Win7 will work okay too.

Hi Ronaldo,,

You have to enable this in BIOS of your PC or consider using Hyper-V.
The virtualization is little tricky and low level so you shall check with vendor of your machine to check what is the BIOS / MB capable of.

Regards,
Ondrej

If the virtual machine is running, you must shut down the virtual machine to change the processor compatibility mode setting.
