Hi,

I have one doubt, my controller IP is 10.4.4.41/22 with VLAN 14 and my data VLAN is 18.controller is running on VMware platform with only one GE port.so how to configure ge1 port of controller?

Please find the below settings, this is correct or not

Native VLAN 14 with IP:10.4.4.41/22
Mode : Trunk
Allowed VLAN: 18,20,22,24,33,34

Thanks

Hi,

Suppose my management VLAN is 14 and IP address 10.4.4.41/22.I need to set only this VLAN and IP address in GE1 port?.and what about virtual interfaces?

Thanks
Niyas P

Hello Niyas,

For what you need these additional VLANS on VX?

The vx9000 does not have a data plane so no user data is tunnelled via vx9000, user data should be bridged on the access points as explained in the earlier post The port on the VX should therefore be set as access on vlan 1 This port is then bridged to the virtual switch within VMware The VX only requires a single vlan and single IP address This interface is for control traffic only. Please note if this interface is changed the vx9000 will require to be relicensed. Regards Andy
