Has anyone used inSSIDer 2.1? I have it on my laptop, but it is only showing 2.4 GHz connections. Why won't it show the 5GHz connections? Both are enabled on the APs and my macbook is connecting on channel 44, so I know it's using 5ghZ.

Hi, Laura!

I used inSSIDer 4 - it's normally show 2,4 and 5GHz
May your lap-top don't have 2,4GHz on wireless NIC?

Hi Laura,
Yes, your laptop will need an a/b/g/n adapter to see the 5GHz networks.

There appears to be a Mac version, but it isn't free.

Are you trying to use inSSIDer on a different laptop than the one you said is connected to channel 44?

I use version 3.0.7.38. Hiden in the Menue (top - left) you find "View". Tried to select "Both Bands"? I think the default option is 2,4 GHz only.
