I am configuring IPv6 BGP between my network (Extreme X650-24x) and my ISP's network (Cisco). I am having trouble bringing up the IPv6 BGP session, I am pretty sure I have configured everything correctly so maybe someone can shed some light on the error messages their router is producing. My BGP config:

It looks like the primary error appearing is to do with AFI/SAFI of 2/8. I have looked this up here: http://www.iana.org/assignments/safi-namespace/safi-namespace.xhtml and 2 represent IPv6 and 8 is MCAST-VPLS. As you can see in my config, IPv6 Multicast is not being sent over the BGP session.

Can anyone shed some light on these errors?

Thanks.

I figured it out, I just needed to disable everything except ipv6-unicast:

disable bgp neighbor X:X:X::1 capability vpnv4
disable bgp neighbor X:X:X::1 capability ipv4-unicast
disable bgp neighbor X:X:X::1 capability ipv4-multicast
disable bgp neighbor X:X:X::1 capability ipv6-multicast
enable bgp neighbor X:X:X::1 capability ipv6-unicast
