My managed PDU's and UPS's typically have an option to power down ports, so that may be an option for you too. But I am also curious on your use case. I imagine Extreme is trying to keep the end user from a "suicide scenario" where you have to hop in a car and make a long drive to power a switch back up.

There is no power on and no power off. What is the use case? For my home lab I use GSM controlled power socket. I can power off an on my lab by SMS or by GSM call.

Hello,

I am using an TP-Link HS100. With this settings you can use it without the TP-Link cloud: (https://www.softscheck.com/en/reverse-engineering-tp-link-hs110/).

In addtition I use a very cheap device form the german DIY market OBI (https://www.obi.de/hausfunksteuerung/wifi-stecker-schuko/p/2291706) it's powered by an ESP8266 and I flashed it with the open source firmware Tasmota).

I can use (disable/enable power) both devices directly via XMC (small script in XMC) and via my home automation FHEM.

Best regards
Stephan

I do have three different types. I am not 100% happy with any of them.
