Negotiating Ethernet and VLAN Interworking Types in VPLS

X670 connected to other VPLS capable device who can't use manual settings for vc type. When created pseudowire with tagged type, connection stay down and in dump we see label mapping messages with VC type 0x0004 (Ethernet VLAN) from other device and 0x0005 (Ethernet ) from Extreme. As know from another conversation Extreme must use automatic negotiating VC type, but it is not working.

That's right. The answer provided in that topic was confirmed by SW engineering.

Hey Sergey,

EXOS PW implementation only supports Ethernet interfaces, therefor only the Ethernet and VLAN VC types are supported. What type of device is this connected to the 670?

What signaling protocol are you using LDP or RSVP?
