Switch x440t extreme problem with ports

Hello! I have some problems with some ports of my switch x440t. How can i discover if my ports are failing? exist some command?

Hello Andrei

Not sure what problems you are having with the ports but if you look at the stats for TX and RX and you are seeing errors what I would then do is run Extended Diagnostics on the switch using the run diagnostics extended.  This will impact the switch so please do it after hours or in a maintenance window.

Hi! Some ports of my switch doesn't respond. Even the leds don't light. But, I can't find a command what say something like "Problem in port x". Sorry about my english....

running the diagnostics should show any HW issues.  If the switch is still in default just do a show vlan default or show default and see if the ports are enabled. they will have a ! if they are disabled.

If they are enabled then I would recommend opening a TAC request.  The 440 has LLW that will replace the HW if it is bad.

we have seen on EXOS 15.1 and EXOS 15.2 base software version for X440 switch, some ports stops forwarding the traffic at random interval of time. those port never learn mac address. I would suggest to upgrade the switch to EXOS 15.,3.1.4 patch 1-33 and see if you are facing the similar issue.

This depends on your service level.  If you do not have a service level then you can only get the level of code that was out when you ordered your equipment.  I would call TAC and see if they can help diagnose the issue it will be the fastest resolve time.

LLW stands for Limited Lifetime Warranty.  LLW is for the Hardware so if there is a physical issue it will be replaced.  I would recommend Sumit's suggestion first.

If you have upgraded the switches to EXOS 15.3.1 patch 1-33 and still seeing the issue, open the case with TAC.

Hey Andrei

The extended diagnostics cover a lot of the HW testing but there are some things it may not catch.  TAC can also look at the Show Tech file or see if there are any dumps to help determine the issue.

my problem  is  that ,when i connect the switch(summit x440) with pc's the  switch is not working but the lights of all ports are green....
