Unable to launch Netsight application

Greetings Extreme Networks,

 We are a customer in Lusaka Zambia, and are getting an error below  "Unable to launch application" when opening netsight.

We have rebooted the Netsight server and all services are running but to NO avail.

Any pointers?

Mysql table does not have duplicate entries (See below). 

Is there anything else i can try? im suspecting the JAVA in the netsight server. I have Java 8 update 60, is there a recomment version of JAVA?

Recommended Java versions are:
Java Runtime Environment (JRE):
  • version 6
  • version 7, update 40 or higher
  • version 8
Are you trying to launch NetSight applications on the server or from client? please try from another PC to check if the problem is of server or the client PC.

What is the netsight version.

Java 8 is supported , if you check the release notes you can find more info

once after clearing the java entry check the status

is this a new implementation or exiting server ?

The netsight server is a VM and we just expanded the memory. There is an event log "C:\Program Files (x86)\Enterasys Networks\NetSight\mysql\bin\nsdatabase.exe: Out of memory". How do i resolve that?

Tried from another PC and the Error is still the same. The problem problem is definitely on the server.

Updated to -Xmx2048m value and restarted the Netsight service. still getting the same error.

I would suggest running through the following article to see if it resolves the issue.

If you are unable to connect to the NetSight server, and are still seeing OutOfMemory conditions I would recommend contacting GTAC at this point to get a case created for further investigation.
