Hi all,

On my access layer switches, which are configured in stacking mode with versions 22.3.1.4 and 21.1.3.7, i am unable to telnet into slots. I am getting the following error:

Slot-1 ACCESS01 # telnet slot 2
sh: can't create /dev/: Is a directory
Anyone knows why is this happening or has experienced this same error?

Thanks for replying Ron, what do you mean by "greater characters"? do you mean capital letters?

If the number of characters in the user name is more than 5, you will get this error.

This is a know issue. A CR has been created xos0069761 -> Telnet to another slot does not work if the current logon user name has 6 or more greater characters.
This is fixed in EXOS 22.4
