V2110 Elastic Applicance - Additional NIC's - Purview

V2110 Elastic Applicance - Additional NIC's - Purview

Hi Guys

We're in the process of deploying Purview to an existing solution. Now with the option to do flow monitoring from the AP/Controller, we'd like to be able to add a 4th (esa2) interface to the controller as dedicated interfaces for flow monitoring.

I've attempted to add a NIC in VMware but it seems it's not recognized by the V2110 software.

So the questions:

1. Will it be possible to add a dedicated interface for new Purview deployments on the current version of the V2110? 09.21.04.0007.
2. Will upgrading to the medium/large elastic appliance provide option for adding additional NIC's?
3. Will the likes of GRE tunnels be available from the controller to Purview as sensor interface?
4. Any deployment recommendations? We use one interface (esa0) dedicated for AP registration with a second (esa1) for topology deployment.

Any views on this?

Regards,
Francois Scheün

Hi Ron

Thanks for the prompt response. This scenario works well with enterprise deployments but becomes challenging with cloud-based solutions. The AP registration would in this case require a public facing IP address or a one-to-one NAT'ed public IP to a local IP address. With that in mind, we prefer to have AP registration and local topologies isolated.

Would this option be eligible for escalation as a feature request?

Francois

Your account Team will review the request and be in touch with you about the feature.

Hi Doug

Thank you for the feedback. Do you mind shedding some light on the "Feature Request" process?
