VoWLAN - best-practices

Hi.

When deploying a VoWLAN VNS for WiFi IP phones, are there any particular best-practices/guidelines for this "sensitive" environment, regarding RF settings, advanced QoS, etc.?

Regarding RF settings, I'm thinking (for instance) in small cells (with a good number of APs) to ensure that WiFi IP phones roam always to the closest AP (playing with Tx power and MBR)...

Thanks.

As a note, customer is going to deploy Cisco 7925 WiFi IP phones. Specific VNS (with specific VLAN) dedicated to voice, shared with wired Cisco IP phones. Bridge@EWC topology (HA controllers).

For VoWiFi -- you should have following in general:
1. RSSI >= -65 dBm within the cell
2. Same channel RSSI from adjacent cell within given cell < -85 dBm
3. Assuming WiFi phone are 11a/g/n -- MBR: 12Mbps or higher
4. Turn on "optimization for power save client"
5. If using encryption, use WPA2 with OKC. Don't use WPA
6. Beacon internal 100ms or less and DTIM of 1
7. Enable fast-session failover for the HA pair.
8. Turn of LDPC if most phones are latest 11n or 11ac
