There is no need to remove the cluster - you'd only upgrade one controller and the APs on it.

But if you'd like you just set availability back to stand-alone in the GUI > controller > administration > availabliity.

That would mean you don't have any redundancy in case of a controller outage.

we are using 2 Wireless controllers in a Cluster (v2110) & along with 180+ wireless AP 3825i and we are planning to upgrade the controllers into v9.21.19.
(Current version : 9.21.07 )

Our plan of action is like :
- to separate the controllers from the Cluster and going to upgrade only one Controller into 9.21.19.
( Note : Each controller registered with 80 Wireless AP 3825i. )

So, we need to remove the controller from the Cluster.

Thank you ,

Why do you want to remove the controller - just to better untstand the issue.

Do you mean a controller availability pair or mobility group?
What software version is running on the controller?
