We installed one Extreme Network's 'Summit X440-8p' switch in our organization. Unfortunately, we forgot it's admin account password and we don't have any other account on this switch to work on it.
Anybody to guide us how to factory reset.

reboot the switch
use pause break and go to bootrom and do "config none".
This will restore to factory default.
Or alternative reach out to TAC with Exos version and access to your switch.
They can help you recover without reboot.

After the restart, I try to enter ‘ config none '.
===================================
BootRom >config none
config: Command not found. Try 'h' for help!

Recovery does require a reboot.  TAC can help with this.

Here's an easy way to do it without having to start over from factory default.
  1. Power cycle the switch with a console connection present.
  2. Hold the spacebar at the prompt to enter the BootROM and execute the command config none
  3. Now enter boot to load EXOS.
  4. Create an autoexec.xsf file with only the command:
    create account admin [account-name] [password]
to create a new admin user
  5. Reboot the switch (don't save!)
  6. This will create the new user account once the switch boots and loads your config.
  7. Using the newly created admin user, delete and recreate the lost admin account.
  8. Finally, delete the autoexec.xsf file (rm autoexec.xsf).

Sorry this is such a blunt response right now, but do you care about keeping the existing config, or are you okay with starting over on this switch?
I have a solution for either side of the conversation, but I'm on mobile and neither are easy to communicate until morning.
