Hi, all!

We can confiure number of LSA in LSDB - configure ospf ase-limit number
But how we can see maximum/reccomended number of LSAs in LSDB?

Interesting in X670.

Also where can I see this limit?
(In Release Notes I can't find this value)

Thank you!

Hi Alex,

configure ospf ase-limit number {timeout seconds}
Where:
• number—Specifies the number of external LSAs that the system supports before it goes into
overflow state. A limit value of 0 disables the functionality. When the LSDB size limit is reached,
OSPF database overflow flushes LSAs from the LSDB. OSPF database overflow flushes the same
LSAs from all the routers, which maintains consistency.

This one is from 16.1 release notes.

I hope this helps.

Below the OSPFv2 external routes limit, in the RN, you will find the inter and intra-area limits, and the links limits.

How many LSA's type 1,2,3,4,7 can terminate LSDB?
(EXOS support this types of LSA).
Can we configure limit for this LSA's types?

Thank you!

If i understand your question right, then the answer is...
The command "configure ospf ase-limit number {timeout seconds}" would only look for the Type 5 LSA (external LSA) and when the configured limit is exceeded it would start Flushing the rest.
