Change layout device managment

Userlevel 4
When I select 'Device Management' of a device in Netsight, the lay-out is verticale. Can this be changed so that it is horizontale.

There is no easy way to do this, you have hit the default case.
What Version of NetSight are you using?
Can you include the screen shot of Device --> Device Information this will show the objectId.
Perhaps this has been added in a new version.

I use Netsight 6.2.0.221.

Where can I find Device --> Device information
Userlevel 2
On Device Manager -- click [Device] a menu will open - the select [Device Information]
I am trying to find out what device this is?
Could be 'new' or could be old
Just trying to get context so I can answer your question.

If the image pasted is the real one, they are a Summit X450e and a Summit X250e stacked, running EXOS v15.3.1.4.

Could I get the 'sysObjectId' reported by the SNMP agent?

Hi, that is what I needed.
The device layout value is set to default in deviceTypes.properties.

EXTR: Device Manager: XOS Stack should be horizontal not vertical view
Verified this has been corrected in a later 6.2 Release.
Thanks for reporting it.

To fix this in 6.2 there is an override in MyDeviceTypes.properties.
You need to add an entry for this device and add devicelayout=45
And the server needs to be restarted.

The FlexView is a better solution for 6.2 if you can wait.

This is the format of the device: adding the last line in bold should change the chassis layout.
# extremeProduct.93 summitVer2Stack# A stacked version of the EXOS Summit X450's, X250's
1.3.6.1.4.1.1916.2.93=summitVer2Stack
summitVer2Stack=1.3.6.1.4.1.1916.2.93
summitVer2Stack.family=Summit Series
summitVer2Stack.subfamily=Summit Stack
summitVer2Stack.name=EXOS Stack
summitVer2Stack.shortname=Stack
summitVer2Stack.treeicon=3
summitVer2Stack.mapicon=exosStack.gif

summitVer2Stack.policydevicetype=14
summitVer2Stack.devicelayout=45

Update: closed that CR duplicate.

net0034924 corrects this problem in 6.2.
Version required is 6.2.0.198 or greater.
