Here is an article that may help understand this error: EXOS Switches fail to archive with Inventory Manager

There's also another topic that covers this:

Thanks Drew.

Let me try this today.
Hi,

I am getting error as " Configuration file is empty". In all the switch am using VR-Mgmt.

Even when i use the below manual script in all the switch it is working.

"tftp put 10.102.9.102 vr "VR-Mgmt" primary.cfg 10_102_9_248_primary.cfg"

In this below script let me know which one i have to edit:

VR_VAR.Default=VR-Mgmt
PUT_FILE_CMD.Default=tftp %TFTP_IP% -v "%VR_VAR%" -p -l %LOCAL_FILE_NAME% -r %REMOTE_FILE_NAME%
GET_FILE_CMD.Default=tftp %TFTP_IP% -v "%VR_VAR%" -g -l %LOCAL_FILE_NAME% -r %REMOTE_FILE_NAME%
RESTORE_PRIMARY_CMD.Default=tftp get %TFTP_IP% vr "%VR_VAR%" %RELATIVE_TARGET_FILE_PATH% primary.cfg force-overwrite

Kindly help in this script please

Could you please provide a screenshot of the following two windows.
- in Inventory manager select one of the X-switches - I'd like to see the info in the right "general" tab
- then select the "image information" tab and post that also

- Netsight version
- is 10.102.9.102 the IP of the Netsight server

- 6.3.0.179 version
- yes it is the IP of the netsight server and inside the netsight server am running TFTP server too. so that is the IP of both netsight and TFTP.

The setup looks exactly like mine and I have no problem to backup my X440.
I'd upgrade to version 7 if that is possible.
Thanks to Drew and Ronald.

Everything is good now after doing the below steps.

1. Open Inventory Manager.
2. Highlight the switch and then change to the Image Information tab on the right.
3. Select the original ExtremeXOS TFTP script from the MIBs and Script Overrides section.
4. Click the View button.
5. Copy the script and paste it into a new text file.
6. Change the name and description at the top of the script.
7. Change the@receive 5 to@receive 15 in the configuration archive section
8. Save it to the NetSight server in /NetSight_Instal_path/NetSight/appdata/InventoryMgr/properties/devicefiles
9. Select this new script for the Configuration MIB section of the MIB and Script Overrides.
10. Click the Save button in the upper right.
