query on nac appliance (radius)' mac address format

Using third party switching (hp), which is having different internal mac address representation, and having the ability to chose between various mac represention format for traffic to radius ..
i wonder and need to know which would be internal nac appliance (radius) mac address format
i suspect it could be with colons; lowercase ; like aa🇧🇧cc:dd:ee:ff , like on xos

i m also aware we can change this from ewc , so all is clear on what we can do to align with radius internal mac representation , but i just can t locate nowhere what is the current 'nac appliance' mac format

thanks in advance

cheers jpp
