Hi colleagues, the question is, can I make a DHCP server on Summit x440-g2-24t-10ge. I try but cannot. I want my own DHCP server for each VLAN. Tell me please.
You can configure it - https://gtacknowledge.extremenetworks.com/articles/How_To/How-to-configure-the-DHCP-server-on-a-VLAN-in-EXOS/?q=exos+dhcp&l=en_US&fs=Search&pn=1
But there is recommendation to use external DHCP server.
Better used switch with DHCP server as a temporary solution.
I know that . but i ts not work! maybe reboot?
Could you show #sh dhcp-s ?
It’s have to be like that:
# sh dhcp-server "test"VLAN "test": DHCP Address Range : 172.16.0.50->172.16.0.100 Netlogin Lease Timer : Not configured (Default = 10 seconds) DHCP Lease Timer : Not configured (Default = 7200 seconds) Ports DHCP Enabled : 1-10
Is there possibility that another DHCP server exist in vlan video2?
Because you have your dhcp poll 10.1.80.2 - 10.1.81.254 and client (in #show iparp) receive address 10.1.7.88.
There is no other DHCP in this vlan. the device received this address when it was in another vlan. This is a local test vlan on a single switch.
i need 23 mask
From my lab - normally working.
# sh sw
