ISSU is hitless upgrade and NSF is hitless failover + graceful restart in the Extreme terms. You can find details in the below links.

The "ISSU" feature is called "High Availability Firmware Upgrade" in EOS and supported by S-Series and 7100-Series switches in VSB installations.

"NSF" is called "Graceful Restart" and supported by S-Series and 7100-Series EOS switches.

The high availability upgrade on the a S series only means that during an upgrade the S does not reboot all of the slots at the same time. It will upgrade one group of modules, restart them and then upgrade the second group. If your devices are not dual connected to one module in each HA group it will lose connectivity during the upgrade process.
