hi oscar, you need mpls feature pack like on real switch

Hi, this is just a license key, MPLS code is part of EXOS image. As such, for VM, I would recommend to enable trial license, unless you really want to purchase a license.
Thanks... I've already worked with every vendor's images that I found and configure mpls just for academic purpose. So, for Extreme OS I've downloaded the VM version and integrated into a GNS3.
How can I get the license trial?

Can I extend or renew the trial period?

To turn on the 30 day trial, you use:

debug epm enable trial-license

You can re-enable after 30 days, but it needs a reboot. Basically, the trial is fine for long term use in the lab as you can turn it on and off as you need. In live network, the reboot requirement and lack of support makes it obviously a no-go.

Paul, I am using the EXOS VM with firmware version 15.3.2.11 and debug epm enable trial-license does not work. the enable command after epm does not exist. The only option after epm is "show". am i missing something?

just type it without trying auto-completion. I'd recommend you to upgrade the VM to a more recent release, btw.

Great thanks Stephane. The VM I'm using is the one I downloaded from the ekit site? where do i find a more up-to-date version of the VM?

There: https://github.com/extremenetworks/Virtual_EXOS

16.1.3 is already on it.

Thanks Stephane. So I created the vm from the iso image and powered it on and it booted successfully. I then followed the install guide to add more nics, but now when I power on the vm it does not boot. I keep getting a watchdog warning message that has seconds that count up each time the error message appears.

Let's track this in a separate thread. Please reference the new conversation here: EXOS-VM doesn't boot after adding more NICs
