Here’s me trying the diagnostic mode, unsuccessfully.

Still waiting to get software access so I can continue.

I’ve gone down that road to no success. Back to beating on my account manager to get me a quote for support so I can download the firmware.

This could potentially be due to corrupt image. Have you tried booting into the alternate partition?  You can do this via the Bootrom menu?

Press and hold the <spacebar> to enter the bootrom.

   4    Diagnostics

Default Image: 1

Your default Image is the currently booted image.  If 1, then boot into the secondary partition and vice-versa:

BootRom > boot 2

If this doesn’t help, you could try installing a new image via the Bootrom menu.  This process is documented in the following KB article:
How to Use the BootROM Menu to Download and Install a New Image to an EXOS Switch

Hope this helps
