Is there a browser where I can search the OIDs i need for cpu, memory, interface usage for 3k, 4k, 5k and 7k series.

Thanks

Hello Sahar,

see here:

Thanks @StephanH I couldn’t use the oids on this article. @JoyceHarris Also that OID doesn’t work on any of my switches. However I contacted the support they supplied me with oids for CPU and memory.

I was wondering how that iMessage PC works, I am trying to poll data from my switches and what I am missing is a place or a tool that have some relevant OIDs. I want to monitor the packets lost too and the bandwidth on the interfaces

Hello Sahar,

it would be great if you could share the OIDs that work for you here. I think there are certainly colleagues who can also use them.

The below worked for all 3k,4k,5k and 7k switches, which I found to be awsome

  • CPU Utilization
    s5ChasUtilTotalCPUUsage OBJECT-TYPE
    SYNTAX Gauge32 (0..100)
    MAX-ACCESS read-only
    STATUS current
    DESCRIPTION
    "This object returns the percentage of time the CPU has been
    busy since system initialization."
    ::= {s5ChasUtilEntry 4}
    OID .1.3.6.1.4.1.45.1.6.3.8.1.1.4

  • Memory
    s5ChasUtilMemoryAvailable OBJECT-TYPE
    SYNTAX Gauge32 (0..100)
    MAX-ACCESS read-only
    STATUS current
    DESCRIPTION
    "This object returns the percentage of dynamic memory that
    is currently free. This is measured as a percentage of
    the memory the was available immediately after system
    initialization."
    ::= {s5ChasUtilEntry 9}
    OID .1.3.6.1.4.1.45.1.6.3.8.1.1.13

also this resource is amazing:

please note, for all the current VOSS based switches you have to use this MIB tree to get access to the system resources. (RapidCity MIB)

rcKhiSlotPerfEntry  1.3.6.1.4.1.2272.1.85.10.1.1

Several example above are wrong, because they pointing to the Synoptics MIB!!!!

Here the details about CPU utilization
Name:    rcKhiSlotCpuCurrentUtil    => OID:    1.3.6.1.4.1.2272.1.85.10.1.1.2

Description:    Percentage CPU utilization under current
     operating conditions.

@Markus Nikulski I was actually searching for something that works for ERS and VSP stackable switches which only the synoptic Mibs worked with. RapidCity OIDs are not available on any of my 38 stacks.

please note, that VSP have a different private MIB  tree (RapidCity) than ERS (Synoptics). They are only some little exception where VOSS have Synoptics C5000 MIB elements supported.
So for the CPU Memory you have to use different OIDs per VOS & ERS switch.
