AP121 Update fails in ExtremeCloud IQ (current firmware 6.1r1)

ExtremeCloud IQ cannot update it, and the old support forums in here seem to have outdated info on how to download the firmware. I believe I need 6.6 or higher and then Extreme will be able to manage the AP.

Any help is appreciated.

The best way i’ve done this is manually

Download the minimum software requirement for the AP121  (usually 6.5r3)

Boot up AP and then login using the APs web GUI

You can upload the software to the AP directly using the web interface

Once AP is booted with new OS it will then connect to XIQ

Sorry, but the issue is obtaining the Firmware. Not what to do with it.

There is no downloads page offered for my account.

Something that extreme support was confused by and unable to assist with as they had no idea why it did not work for my account.

So I ended being e-mailed the firmware I needed.
