Hello,

Bridge at access point wireless services will pass IPv6 traffic. All other wireless services will not.

Thanks,

Doug

Also for more information on how to create a wlan-service please refer to the IdentiFi Wireless User Guide - https://extranet.extremenetworks.com/downloads/Pages/dms.ashx?download=c2513a5a-1186-4e25-ae97-dc9e1...

Look at the section titled: Configuring WLAN Services

  • You can also follow the menu wizard to create the Bridge at AP Services:
  • Open the Controllers management web interface Default log in admin/abc123
  • Click on the VNS tab from the top task menu
  • Click "New" from the left hand side task menu
  • Click START VNS WIZARD and follow the instructions

If you bridge the wireless traffic at the ap only ipv6 will pass through. It is not supported with any other topology type (bridge at controller/routed "tunneled").

At some point I believe it is. You should speak with your Extreme Sales Person, they can get you more information on that.

It was once mentioned that IPv6 traffic is already going from the Enterasys access point over the CAPWAP tunnel to the Enterasys controller. On controller IPv6 traffc is blocked at all. If you find a way to unblock it on controller (Hey it´s Linux...) IPv6 + "bridge at controller" would already work nowadays.
