one of my site having around 22 AP  and all this device are online and able to view in rf-domain but when i checked the mint neighbours it not showing  neighboring AP list  as a part of troubleshooting  i have pinged from from ap to ap its working fine also i checked the adoption status it shows ap is adopted to controller correctly .and when i checked wireless  clients ,device are    showing in  ap but not in  controller  and we are only using single vlan but still mint neighbour establishment is not happening.

How did you check for MINT neighbors? (What commands?)

Did you run the commands on an AP or on the controller?

i tried # show mint neighbours  in Access Point  but it didn't show the neighbouring AP list.

Can you run these and post the outputs?

show mint info

show mint mlcp

show mint stats

I’m assuming these APs are being managed by a WiNG controller…

Is the WiNG controller the RF-Domain Manager or this RF-Domain...or one of the APs?

  • check by running show global domain managers and look for the RFDomain and then check the Host Name column to see if it’s an AP or a controller

below are the output i am getting

#show mint info
Mint ID: 55.B4.B4.40
0 Level-1 neighbors
Level-1 LSP DB size 1 LSPs (1 KB)
1 Level-2 neighbors
Level-2 LSP DB size 2 LSPs (1 KB)
Level-2 gateway is self
Level-2 leaf node
Reachable adopters: 12.BC.6D.0A
Max level-1 path cost: 0 (to 55.B4.B4.40)

#show mint mlcp
MLCP VLAN state: MLCP_DISCOVERING
MLCP VLAN Hello Interval: 4s(default), Adjacency hold time: 13s(default)
  Potential VLAN links:
All VLANs were scanned 1022 times
MLCP IP: ENABLED
MLCP IPv6: ENABLED
MLCP IP/IPv6 state: MLCP_DONE
MLCP IP Hello Interval: 15s(default), Adjacency hold time: 46s(default)
  Potential L3 Links:
    172.17.100.144, 172.19.97.144
Link created to 172.19.97.144:24576 level 2

#show mint stats
0 Level-1 neighbors
Level-1 LSP DB size 1 LSPs (1 KB)
Last Level-1 SPFs took 0.000s
Level-1 SPF (re)calculated 5 times.
1 Level-1 paths.
1 Level-2 neighbors
Level-2 LSP DB size 2 LSPs (1 KB)
Last Level-2 SPFs took 0.000s
Level-2 SPF (re)calculated 24 times.

and when i tried # show global domain manager in Access point i got AP   in hostname column

There you go.

Noticed that MINT level-1 was not seeing any of your neighbor APs...which relies on the defined control VLAN.  That was going to be my next question. :)

Good catch.
