We are a small clinic running a C25 controller (09.12.01.0067) with 3825i AP's and our electronic medical system is Apple based and we're using iPad Air's (34). The issue we are having is like many do, our HP printers will show up for a short period of time via AirPrint and then disappear with the only way of getting them back is by restarting the iPad. Having to restart the iPad in the middle of a large patient load is frustrating for the Doctor's and their assistants.
I've got the mDNS/Bonjour Multicast Filter setup (Controller > Network > Topologies) and also have multicasting configured on our SonicWall gateway.
We've tried each of the following to try to resolve the issue of them disappearing but to no avail;
1. Using the AirPrint feature on the printer itself
2. Collobos Presto software
3. Lantronix xPrintServer
On the iPads we've disabled the Privacy > Location Services > System Services > WiFi setting and perform a Reset Network Settings regularly.
Many articles on the web refer to rebooting the router or applying firmware updates which I've rebooted the entire system after making many of the changes above.
At this point I guess I'm at a loss on what to do or try next so I'm asking for any suggestions you may have.
