Hi Glenn Which role are you returning in the unauthenticated state, it should be Unregistered role for network if you are using the automatically generated role? If you are using your own unregistered role, have you added some specific "redirect" rules into that role. If the above doesn't help then ...

Hi Ian It almost seems though that anymore than one SSID per radio and your penalised for it? is that an industry standard thing or is that how the extreme identifi architecture works? GM> Each SSID you add increases 802.11 management traffic, for examples beacons are sent approx 10 per sec per SSID ...

Hi Richard As Tomasz stated you could establish airtime utilisation on 2.4Ghz and look if alternate power/channels might help, did you check for issues such as hidden node, near/far and ACI? Retries are part of the 802.11 protocol, there isn't anything you can do to tune this specific behaviour ...

These are all complex technologies, in brief: STBC = Space Time Block Encoding - Used to spread copies of a single data stream across multiple (2 or more) antennas to improve the reliability of data transfer. LDPC = Low Density Parity Check - is a forward error correction encoding scheme, the ...

iperf server receives traffic from the client (that is the direction of the traffic.) So you are correct, on each device you see its perspective (which may vary especially with traffic type set to UDP.)

Eric It depends on the configuration of the radios, amongst many other things. Start here and see if this article helps you: https://gtacknowledge.extremenetworks.com/articles/How_To/How-do-I-measure-the-wireless-performance-of-a-client-on-an-access-point-and-what-factors-might-impact- ...

Hi James I don't think these stats will perfectly align with the AP's DCS file, but the main OID I've come across is in this article: https://gtacknowledge.extremenetworks.com/articles/Q_A/What-is-DCS-channel-occupancy-threshold-and-what-considerations-are-there-for-configuration I think ...

Hi As Tomasz said you will need to create a physical interface on esa0 and in vsphere map it to a vswitch, don't map both esa0 and esa1 to the same vswitch, if you only have 1 physical NIC you can achieve what you require. Follow these 2 articles: https://gtacknowledge.extremene ...

Aviv Some packet loss is to be expected in wireless, it is not comparable to wired. You might find with ping for example, that the client on test doesn't give it very much priority and may go to sleep more frequently than it would with TCP traffic for example. Lowering the DTIM might help with ...

Dennis The command is iwconfig, not ifconfig. With LLDP enabled on your switch in the AP reports, do you see lldp-med-overide, next to where it says "AF" - take a look at this article: https://gtacknowledge.extremenetworks.com/articles/Solution/AP3935-on-S8-switch-operates-on-802-3af-m ...
