Esports is booming and here to stay! Esports is swiftly sweeping through K-12, college campuses, and accompanied by several growing professional leagues. Hear from our panelists on how esports has evolved from casual arcade gaming to a thriving digital ecosystem building excitement across education! Our panelists will share their journey in building esports programs for their students, why you should care, and how they have infused learning into gaming. In a digitally engaged world, esports opens new pathways to improve student engagement, recruiting, performance, and retention. Effortlessly blending into a hybrid learning model, removing barriers for inclusivity across a diverse student body, and extending engagement beyond the school campus to a virtual community! During this session, experts from SUNY Canton, High School Esports League and the Collegiate Sports Management Group will share insights on what they have done, their vison and plans for 2020, the positive impact transpiring, and the esports movement happening across education. Come ready to ask questions! Our well-rounded group of panelists are representing the various aspects of esports from the IT components, athletic led initiatives, technical management, logistics, recruitment, competition pool, and more!
