WiFi has continued to grow in importance to the point where it's now mission-critical. It has evolved from a network of convenience to the primary network for mobile phones, laptops, IoT endpoints, guests to the business and almost every other constituent.  Poor performing WiFi means lost productivity and dissatisfied customers, students, patients and other non-employee types, all of which impact an organization's top and bottom line. Coinciding with the rise of WiFi has been an increase in innovation but also complexity and it's made understanding what to purchase, how to deploy it and how to manage it increasingly difficult. During this session, Extreme's Perry Correll and Zeus Kerravala, Founder of ZK Research will discuss some of the top trends and WiFi and how network professionals should be thinking about how to use these to improve the wireless experience.

Topics include:

  • The difference between WiFi 6 and WiFi 6E
  • The role of 5G
  • How Artificial Intelligence fits in
  • The importance of cloud management
  • The impact to the wired network (to upgrade or not upgrade)
