Hello,

If the Hivemanager on-prem loses connection with the License Server, it would limit access,

Now, the APs will ultimately keep running their last known configuration, and will no longer be manageable from the Hivemanager.

Is there a reason for disconnecting from the internet? Is it possible to keep access open for hmupdates.aerohive.com

David Souri,

HiveCommunity Moderator

On-prem HiveManager running 12.8.2.2 - with valid entitlement key. The plan is to deny internet access to/from this VM. As I understand, the HiveManager contacts the Aerohive license server every 3 weeks or so. What will happen when this VM will no longer be able to contact the license server? Will we still be able to manage our APs from HM?

Internal company rules say we need to isolate this machine; but we'll see about granting access to hmupdates.aerohive.com if this is a must. Thank you.
