Hello,

We are trying to migrate the serial # 02301509172439 to HiveManager NG.

The unit appears to register to VHM-UQGNPSIY (Hubbard Street Dance Center) but the capwap client never shows an established connection, and “show hivemanager” never gets to an established connection.

Is this serial number possibly registered to an old HMOL VHM instance? We were given some steps to troubleshoot this unit via console, however the other AP230 units registered just fine on the same Ethernet connection / DHCP server.

Thank you,

Stuart,

When others ask questions we often do so because there is need for the details in order to help you. I can make assumptions but would rather get the facts. Then there is also the case to be made (by my wife) that I am just thick headed and too dense to understand.

So please answer each of these so we can understand exactly what you are doing.

Are you migrating from Online classic to Online NG?

Are you migrating from On Premise Classic to Online NG?

Are you migrating from On Premise Classic to On Premise NG?

The AP230 was registered to Classic and you are moving it to NG?

What changes did you make to move the other APs?

It kinda sounds like the AP may be either stuck in the redirector or trying to register to a Hive that does not have any seats left open to allow it to register but those are guesses.

Let us know the answers to the above questions so we can direct you further.
