These are the only devices that don't work in the room. They say that wireless is out of range. After reboot wireless will work.

What model and version of AP HiveOS are you running?

Do they work initially, then stop? Or do they always have to reboot before initially working?

Are they always coming out of sleep when the failure occurs?

Once re-booted do they still fail? After how long?

Does turning wifi off/on also work?

ap230 8.2r2

They work for a while then will stop working.

New logins

Reboot and login don't fix anything. Going to another classroom and they will work. But then next day that classroom my not work with these.

Only fix we have found that work is to reboot ap.

Laptops and other chromebooks of a different model work great on the same ap.

Do you use Chrome Device Manager? If not, all your chromebooks are requesting an auto update. Chromebooks will either go out to the internet or look at other chromebooks to get updates. This creates a lot of multicast traffic. If you have Chrome Device Manager, turn off auto updates, and your issue should go away. I had one grade using 1 to 1 chrombooks in my district and we experienced similar problems. Once I turned off auto updates, everything has been fine. The same thing happened at a nearby school district and the same fix did it.
