I’m having a consistent issue with MacBooks and an AP 250. Hopefully someone can help.

Issues:

1. Web traffic will stop for a period of 4 to 10 minutes. 25 MacBooks and one classroom AP.

2. Cannot access any website, speed test, etc.

3. Wifi signal shows as connected and shows a valid IP in HMOL.

3. No other classroom or devices are showing these issues. We have a mix of Chromebook, Macs and Windows.

4. If a student walks outside the room and down the hall, the laptop will connect without issue

Working with Aerohive, this is what’s been done so far:

1. Enable multicast limits on that AP

2. AP is specified classroom has only one SSID broadcasting, limiting connection to only those laptops. Checked for channel interference and made power adjustments.

3. Aerohive Support has made changes to the SSID and our network policy based on coverage and best practice

4. I’ve swapped APs twice to rule out a faulty model

My next step is to setup port mirroring on the switch to check packet traffic.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue or can help point me in the right direction. I will attach the tech data from the AP.

Thank you in advance for your help.
