The maximum number of firewall rules we can host (sum of inbound and outbound) is 64. If you need more rules configured, we would strongly suggest using a network firewall or content filter rather than trying to host a firewall via the APs.

Hello everybody,

we are using at our university the on-premises Hivemanager NG (build version 12.8.1.2-NGVAMAY18 ) and a lot of AP230 (HiveOS 8.3r4 Mayberry build-195604 ).

My questions are:

What is the maximum number of active user-based firewall entries on a AP230? I believe it is 64, but i am not sure, because i do not find this information anymore.

For example, if the maximum number is 64. Means this the sum of outbound and inbound rules or can i define 64 entries for each of them (sum = 128)?

Thank you in advance!

Regards,

Andreas
